Retail

Ask your own shoppers before the range, the app or the promotion is decided.

Shoppers on hand whenever a question comes up

Retail runs to its own calendar. The range is set months ahead, the app changes every few weeks, and a promotion is judged on its first weekend. By the time a one-off research project reports back, the buying team has often decided.

Survizo gives you a private online community of your own shoppers, in your brand. Invite them from your loyalty list once, by email or from your own WhatsApp Business number to those who opted in. They stay with you for the spring range and the Christmas one. When you need an answer, you ask people who already know your stores.

What you can find out from your shoppers

Why people leave a basket in the app

Add a clickable prototype of the new checkout to a survey and let your shoppers try it. Survizo records how far each shopper got, so the screen where baskets are dropped stands out. Then ask what they were looking for there.

What shoppers notice in store

Upload a photo of a shelf or a window display, and ask shoppers to tap what catches their eye or what confuses them. A heat map shows where the taps gather. After their next visit, ask them to film a short answer about what they bought and what nearly stopped them. They record on their phone, and one press turns any answer into text.

Which lines earn shelf space

Show shoppers a few products at a time and ask which one they would miss most and which they would miss least. Over a few rounds, you see which lines people would fight for. Then let shoppers sort the category into groups of their own, and check their groups against how the aisle is laid out.

Whether the loyalty scheme still feels worth it

Give regular shoppers a private discussion room, and lapsed ones a room of their own, and ask each what the scheme gives them. To see how many agree, post a quick poll in the feed, with a closing time if you like. Members and your team watch the results update as votes land.

How opinions differ from one area to the next

Each member's profile holds details such as age, city and household size, and any survey question can add to it. Save a group, such as shoppers in one city, and compare its answers with another group's on any question.

Answers before the range is locked

Finding shoppers and turning spreadsheets into slides often take longer than the research itself. With a community, your shoppers are already signed up and your slides come straight from the results.

Email invitations carry your colours and logo, and anyone who hasn't joined gets an email reminder on the schedule you set.

When the answers are in, Survizo's AI drafts the report for you, with a summary, findings backed by the numbers and recommended actions. The slides and the Excel file carry the same numbers, so the buying team spends the meeting on what to do.

Survizo writes each shopper's scores and answers to their contact in your CRM, matched by email address or loyalty number. The groups you save in Survizo can go to your CRM too, kept up to date. Your loyalty and marketing teams see what shoppers said, where they already work.

Looking after the shoppers who answer

A loyalty member who joins your community trusts you with more than an email address. The product is built to keep that trust.

  • Their consent is on record, word for word. Survizo records what each member agreed to and when, even if you edit the wording later.
  • They're told plainly. Before they join, they're told that your team can see who gave each answer, and that they are free to say no.
  • They can take their data, or ask for it to go. Members download what the community holds about them. If they ask to be deleted, they see what will be removed, anonymised or kept before they confirm. Someone on your team then carries it out.
  • Each community stands alone. Each one keeps its own members, settings and emails. A shopper who joins two of your communities has a separate account in each, so nothing they say in one shows up in the other.
  • Access is yours to set. Colleagues and your agency see only the parts you open to them. A partner you add to work with the results never sees a member's email address.
  • Private messages stay out of reports. Private messages and complaints never appear in a report or in the AI's analysis.

Questions

Questions retailers ask

Can we invite people from our loyalty scheme?

Yes. Upload a spreadsheet of their email addresses, and any extra column, such as store or membership tier, is saved to their profile. Invite them by email, or from your own WhatsApp Business number to those who have opted in. Your other systems can also connect and add people automatically.

Who decides who gets in?

You do. A community can be invite-only or open to anyone with its web link. You can also approve each new sign-up yourself, or close sign-ups at a number you choose.

Can we run a separate community for each of our store brands?

Yes, all from one login. Each has its own web address, look, members and settings. You choose which colleagues and partners, such as your agency, can see inside each one.

How do we pay for it?

By subscription, or as a single project quoted for a set number of weeks, which suits a seasonal question. We quote either one after a short call, and How plans work shows what each plan includes.
