New product development

Test each stage of a new product with your own customers.

Hear about the problem while it's cheap to fix

The costly mistakes in a new product are the ones customers could have pointed out months earlier. Ask customers at each step of development, and you catch those mistakes while they are still on paper.

Survizo gives you a private online community of your own customers, under your brand. Invite them by email, or from your own WhatsApp Business number to people who have opted in. The same people stay with you for the whole project, so each question builds on the last.

Because your customers have already joined, you can put a question to them the same day the team needs an answer.

Start with how people cope today

Before anyone sketches a solution, find out how people manage now.

Open a discussion room and leave it running for a few days. Your customers post photos and videos and reply to each other. People come back the next day with the second thoughts a one-hour focus group never hears.

Ask customers to film their answer to "Show us where this goes wrong at home", and you see the room where the problem happens. Then book a recorded interview with the two or three people whose stories you want in full.

Narrow the ideas to the ones worth building

A workshop produces more ideas than any team can build. Let customers help you choose.

Show customers your long list a few ideas at a time, and they pick the most and least important of each set. You get the whole list ranked, and you see whether the top idea leads by a mile or by a whisker. Ask customers to sort your products or features into groups of their own, and you see how to name a range or where a feature belongs.

When the team is split on one point, put a poll in the community feed and watch the votes settle it.

Shape the design before it's made

Once there's something to look at, put it in front of people. Customers click through a screen prototype or turn a 3D model of the pack, and you see what they notice and miss. Ask people to tap what they noticed first, and all their taps add up to one heat map. The concept testing page shows a test like this step by step.

You can also publish a short video or a post to the community explaining the idea, and members comment underneath it.

Go back to the right people

Product research is a series of rounds, and each round depends on remembering the last one.

Survizo lets you pick out customers by how they answered any earlier survey and keep them as a group. Take the people who said the current product lets them down. Compare them with everyone else, bring them into a discussion or an interview, or message each one directly. You can also keep a question's answer on each customer's profile, so what they said in the first round is still there for the third.

What the team has after each round

Every round gives the team findings to act on that same week. You see the results for every question, split by the groups you saved.

At a click, the AI finds the themes in written answers and interviews, and links each finding to the words behind it. An AI report can read the discussions, interviews and surveys together and show where they agree and where they differ. Every saved report records its sources and how much of each it read. You can download the results as Excel, SPSS or PowerPoint files.

Agencies can give each client their own view of the community, showing only the sections the agency picks.

Questions

Questions about new product research

Can we keep a project confidential?

Yes. Each community is private, and you set the rules for who can join. Only the people you add can see a discussion room, and members never see the interview recordings. Every member accepts your terms before taking part, and Survizo keeps a record of the exact wording each one accepted. Add your confidentiality clause to those terms, so every member agrees to it first.

How long can a project run?

As long as you need, on a subscription. If you need a community for one product only, we quote it for the weeks you agree with us on the fit call. A community can also have start and end dates. Outside them, members see a notice instead of the community, and your team keeps full access.

Can we test pricing?

Yes. Ask what people would expect to pay, with a number question or a scale, and compare the answers across groups. If you want to weigh price against features, bring it to the fit call and we'll plan the questions with you.

Which plan suits a product project?

Professional or Enterprise covers most of what this page describes. Those plans add the ranking and sorting questions, heat maps, prototypes and 3D models. They also bring video answers, recorded interviews, saved groups, AI reports and the Excel, SPSS and PowerPoint files. Discussions, polls and messages work on every plan. You can also run a community for one product project only, quoted on the fit call. See how plans work.
